Netsky.Y is a worm that launches Denial of Service attacks (DoS) against several websites between April 28 and 31, 2004, inclusive. These attacks are theoretically launched between April 28 and 31 but there must be an error in the worm's code, since April has just 30 days. Then, these attacks will be launched until April 30.
In addition, Netsky.Y spreads via e-mail in a message with variable characteristics and an attached file with a COM extension.
Netsky.Y is difficult to recognize, as it does not show any messages or warnings that indicate it has reached the computer.
However, Netsky.Y allways reaches a computer in an e-mail message with an attached file with a COM extension.
