Puper is an adware program that modifies the Start page, the Search page and the Local page of the Internet Explorer browser.
It is very difficult to delete it manually, as it creates two copies of itself that constantly check if the other exists. If the user deletes one of them, the other creates it again. Therefore, it is necessary to delete both of them at the same time.
Puper does not spread using its own means. It is usually downloaded to the computer by Trojans belonging to the family Puper. However, bear in mind that there are also other possible attack vectors, such as malicious websites that exploit vulnerabilities in order to automatically download and run Puper.
Puper is difficult to recognize, as it does not display any messages or warnings that indicate it has reached the computer.
