Cesspool.A is a Trojan that changes the system date and time to 07/01/1984 00:00:00.
In addition, Cesspool.A can be run when the computer is started and it can impede the system shutdown by running itself once and again.
Cesspool.A does not spread automatically using its own means. It needs the attacking user's intervention in order to reach the affected computer. The means of transmission used include, among others, floppy disks, CD-ROMs, e-mail messages with attached files, Internet downloads, FTP, IRC channels, peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing networks, etc.
Cesspool.A is easy to recognize once it has affected a computer, as it displays the following MS-DOS window for a few seconds:
Then, it displays a marquee type screensaver with the following text:
I am virus CESSPOOL. Forgive I live but itself on your computer.
