Bereb.C is a worm with backdoor characteristics that spreads through the peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing program WinMX.
Bereb.C attempts to connect to a website in order to notify remote users that the computer has been affected. This allows hackers to access the computer via an IRC channel in an especific IRC server, by sending remote control commands.
Bereb.C is difficult to recognize, as it does not show any messages or warnings that indicate it has reached the computer.
