Gefu.A is a virus that does not have any destructive effects. Its only aim is to infect other computers.
Gefu.A collects names of files that are located in certain directories, and makes copies of itself under those names in the directory where it was run. If the file names already exist, Gefu.A infects the files using the prepending method, which increases the file size in 20,992 bytes.
Gefu.A is difficult to recognize, as it does not show any messages or warnings that indicate it has reached the computer.
