Panol.C is a worm that spreads via e-mail in a message with the subject Contact information and an attachment called MAIL_CHECK.EXE.
Panol.C deletes the system files AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS, and therefore Windows does not start unless these files are restored. In addition, it restarts the system whenever the user starts it.
Panol.C changes the home page of the Internet Explorer browser, and attempts to launch a denial of service attack (DoS) against the web server that hosts the page www.ttnet.net.tr.
Panol.C is easy to recognize, as it reaches the system in an e-mail message with the subject Contact information and an attachment called MAIL_CHECK.EXE.
Panol.C restarts the affected computer whenever it is started.
