Zasi is a Trojan that has variable effects, as it uses files that it downloads from remote servers. Depending on the file downloaded, this Trojan will have different effects.
The e-mail message sent out by Zasi passes itself off as a Microsoft security bulletin. The message text also invites the user to visit a web page and download a security patch for Windows operating systems.
When the user accesses the link included in the message, a series of files containing the virus code are downloaded to the computer.
The message sent out by Zasi is easy to recognize, as it has the following characteristics:
