Kamuflao3 is a backdoor type Trojan that allows hackers to gain remote access to other computers in order to carry out actions that compromise the confidentiality of the user and impede the tasks carried out.
It is important to highlight that Kamuflao3 only affects computers with the Windows XP operating system installed.
The effects of Kamuflao3 include the following: it displays the user's password for the instant messaging program MSN Messenger, deletes the files from the root directory of the hard drive, logs the keystrokes entered in the affected computer and permanently opens the CD-ROM tray.
Kamuflao3 consists of three modules:
- Client program: Installed on the hacker's computer.
- Server program: Installed on the victim computer.
- Editor program: Allows the attacker to configure certain characteristics of the server program.
