CodeRed.F is a variant of another worm called RedCode.IIS.2, with a modification of just two bytes. Through this modification CodeRed.F can spread until the year 34952. If the system date indicates any date after this year, instead of spreading the worm will restart the affected computer.
CodeRed.F is a worm that spreads through computer networks and which affects Index Server 2.0, Indexing Service and Internet Information Server (versions 4.0 and 5.0).
The effects of CodeRed.F are dangerous as it drops a Trojan in affected computers, which allows attackers (hacker) to gain complete control of the Web servers in a network. It can also restart and block computers by flooding their memory.
An indication that you may have been infected by CodeRed.F is computers restarting for no apparent reason.
