Loveletter.CN is a worm that uses a supposed photograph of the singer Jennifer López as bait for carrying out its infection.
It spread very rapidly through an e-mail message with an attachment called JENNINFERLOPEZ_NAKED.JPG.VBS.
Whenever Loveletter.CN infects a computer, it sends itself to all of the contacts in the Address Book.
This virus has very damaging effects:
- It deletes the content of all files with VBS, VBE, JS, JSE, CSS, WSH, SCT, HTA, JPG, JPEG, MP3 and MP2 extensions.
- It drops another virus with very destructive effects: Chernobyl.
