Smokedown is a Trojan that connects to FTP or HTTP servers, from which it downloads files that sometimes contain other Trojans.
Smokedown does not use any specific means to spread. It can reach computers through the usual means used by viruses: Internet downloads, FTP, floppy disks, e-mail, etc.
Smokedown is difficult to identify, as it does not display any messages or warnings that indicate that it has reached a computer.
