Drp.gen is not really a virus, but a generic detection for a group of droppers that have the same characteristics:
- The file that carries out the infection contains other Trojans, worms or viruses.
- When this file is run, the viruses that the dropper contains are inserted in the computer.
These dropper files are considered a threat because the affected computer can be controlled from another computer through a program, or can be infected by other virus.
These files use the communication ports that are not protected.
As Drp.gen is not a real virus, there are no clear visible symptoms that indicate it has reached a computer.
