DoS-Program is not a specific Trojan, but a group of viruses with the following characteristics:
- It spreads quickly through any of the means of transmission commonly used by viruses.
- Its most harmful effects involve carrying out DoS attacks, in other words, it will constantly try to access certain computers (generally servers) in order to block them.
- Infection is carried out when the file containing the Trojan is run. This file, which has a variable name, causes infection in many different ways without the user realizing and can even be included in other viruses or worms.
The actions carried out by DoS-Program are generally more dangerous on the systems it attacks remotely than on the infected system itself.
These kinds of programs usually make use of the communication ports that are not protected in the computer under attack.
As it is not a specific virus, Dos-Program does not have any visible symptoms that allows it to be identified.
