Dobea is a low-risk Trojan that modifies the mIRC configuration that modifies Windows Registry entries in order to launch another Trojan, called IRC.Dobea.
It is easy to get infected with Dobea because it uses several means of transmission to spread: e-mail messages, computer networks, FTP file transfers, CD-ROMs, Internet downloads, floppy disks, etc.
Dobea is difficult to recognize at first sight, as it does not display any warning messages. Dobea will only work on computers where IRC.Dobea is installed.
