Ostrich.B is a macro virus that doesn’t have any destructive effects, which reaches computers in an infected Word document with a DOC extension. Then, it infects Word’s global template (NORMAL.DOT file), and from there the virus infects all the Word files generated with it.
Ostrich.B does not carry out any dangerous actions on the infected computers, as its only aims are to spread, display messages on screen and access a Brazilian website.
In order to avoid detection, Ostrich.B modifies some Word options.
