Slapper.C is a worm for Linux that exploits a buffer overflow vulnerability found in the OpenSSL component of Apache Web servers.
The Linux distributions affected by this vulnerability are Mandrake, SuSe, Slackware, RedHat and Debian installed on computers with an Intel processor.
Affected computers might cease to function correctly, as a result of the DoS attacks carried out by Slapper.
