Litwitch is a backdoor type Trojan that tricks the user in order to obtain confidential information.
In order to do this, when Litwitch carries out its infection, it displays a message informing the user that the computer has lost some information (passwords, user name, etc.), which the user must re-enter. If the user provides this information, the attacker will be able to access it.
If the attacker gets this information, he will be able to gain remote access to the resources of the affected computer.
Litwitch is a dangerous Trojan, as it allows the hacker to carry out many actions on the affected computer. Some of these actions include formatting the hard drive, sending, receiving, copying, deleting, renaming and moving files, disabling the keyboard, the mouse or the screen, etc.
In order to check all the actions that the hacker can carry out, consult the section Effects.
