DeTroie is a Trojan whose main aim is to allow a hacker to gain remote access to the computer.
DeTroie consists of two programs: a client program, in order to gain access to the information on the compromised computer; and a server program, in order to communicate through a TCP/IP connection.
It is easy to become infected by DeTroie, as it reaches computers through many means: e-mail messages with infected attachments, computer networks, CD-ROMs, Internet downloads, FTP, floppy disks, etc
DeTroie is easy to identify, as when the Trojan is run, it seems to be a program that cannot be installed. As a result, it displays an error message on screen and indicates that the file SETUP32.DLL does not exist.
