NSI.D is a macro virus that infects Word 97 documents. This virus does not have any destructive effects, as its main aims are to modify certain Word options and the properties of the active document.
NSI.D does not use any specific means to spread. It can reach computers through the usual means of transmission used by viruses: FTP, Internet downloads, floppy disks, e-mail, etc.
NSI.D is difficult to identify, as it does not display any messages or warnings that indicate that it has infected a computer.
