Redesi.D is a worm that sends out two e-mail messages to all the entries in Outlook’s Address Book.
The first message has no attachment, but it announces that the user will receive a second message, which will contain a virus-free attachment.
However, when the file attached to the second message is run, Redesi.D sends itself out via e-mail and deletes the content of the C: drive in the infected computer.
A clear indication that you have received Redesi.D is an e-mail message that contains the following text:
Well, here is the email I told you I was going to send. I’ll speak to you more later. The boss is coming.
