Vote.C is a worm that spreads in a file called WTC.EXE attached to an e-mail message with the subject Fwd: Peace BeTweeN AmeriCa And IsLaM !.
Vote.C carries out the following destructive actions in the computer:
- It formats the C: drive, in other words, deletes its content.
- It changes the home page in Internet Explorer in order to download a trojan (Trjan/PSW.Barrio.50) to the system.
- It overwrites files with a HTM or HTML extension.
The first clear indication that you have received Vote.C is an e-mail message with the following characteristics:
Fwd: Peace BeTweeN AmeriCa And IsLaM !
