Hacktack.C is a Trojan that acts as a server program. Once it has reached a computer, Hacktack.C allows a hacker to remotely access the computer’s resources.
By doing this, the computer is left vulnerable to external attacks.
The file that carries out the infection can reach computers under any name, although it is usually called SERVER.EXE and has the typical icon of installation programs.
A symptom that Hacktack.C has reached your computer is an installation file received through any means (probably called SERVER.EXE). On running this file, instead of installing a program, it gives the impression that a program isn’t being installed.
