Barok is a Trojan that is programmed to steal information from the computers it infects. It obtains the computer's passwords and sends them to an e-mail address selected at random from the editor program incorporated in the Trojan.
Barok does not use any specific means of transmission. It can reach computers through the usual means used by viruses: floppy disks, CD-ROMs, e-mail messages with infected attachments, Internet downloads, FTP, etc.
Barok is difficult to recognize, as it does not display any warnings or messages that indicate that it has infected a computer.
