Crack2000 is a Trojan that uses the computer as a FTP server. Then, it installs an application with the serial numbers of 3000 commercial applications and opens a communications port.
After Crack2000 has carried out the steps described above, other computers will be able to connect to the affected computer via FTP and download the serial numbers of these 3000 applications.
Crack2000 does not use any specific means to spread. It can reach computers through the normal means used by viruses: e-mail messages with infected attachments, computer networks, CD-ROMs, Internet downloads, FTP, floppy disks, etc.
Crack2000 is difficult to recognize, as it does not display any warnings or messages that indicate that it has reached a computer.
