AOL.Click is a Password Stealer Trojan. Its aim is to find the user name and password of the user of the affected computer for the instant messaging service America On Line (AOL). When it finds this data, it saves it in a file, which is then sent via e-mail to a certain address.
AOL.Click uses various means to spread: floppy disks, e-mail, Internet downloads, FTP, etc.
AOL.Click is difficult to identify, as it does not display any messages or warnings that indicate that it has reached a computer.
Once the infection is carried out, AOL.Click sends an e-mail with AOL instant messaging services logged passwords. The characteristics of this e-mail are the following:
