Sic.A is a macro virus that reaches a computer inside an infected Excel spreadsheet, with an XLS extension. From there it will infect the Excel templates, thereby infecting every Excel file generated with them.
If the time on the system clock is 6:30 am or pm, Sic.A displays messages on screen as well as in the Status bar.
An indication that Sic.A has infected a computer is the following message, which the virus displays in the Windows Status bar when an infected Excel spreadsheet is opened and the time on the system clock is 6:30 am or pm:
VicodinES and Lord Natas greet you a good morning!
In addition, the title of the Excel spreadsheet will be replaced with: XF.Classic.Poppy
If the time on the system clock is 18:30, Sic.A displays the following message:
XF.Classic.Poppy by VicodinES and (c) 1998 The Narkotic Network
