Fix2001 is a worm that reaches computers in an e-mail message with the following subject: Internet problem year 2000.
This message tries to trick users into running the attached file by making them believe that it solves the year 2000 problem. However, when the file is run, Fix2001 displays a message informing the user that the update does not need to be performed and sends itself out by e-mail.
The effects of Fix2001 are considered dangerous because under certain circumstances it can format the hard drive of the infected computer.
A clear sign that you have received Fix2001 is an e-mail message with the following characteristics:
Internet problem year 2000
