Disemboweler is a worm that spreads very quickly via:
E-mail messages that can be identified by their subject, which contains a legal term. These messages are automatically sent to all the e-mail addresses in the affected computer.
Computer networks, whose workstations share files with an EXE or SCR extension.
The effects of Disemboweler are particularly damaging, as it deletes all the contents of the hard drives, a month after it has carried out its infection.
A clear indication that you have received Disemboweler is a suspicious e-mail message with a legal term in its subject, such as: sentences you, sufficiency of proof, trial court, against the accused...
Another symptom that indicates that infection has been carried out is the disappearance of the content of the disk drives.
