Verlor.A is a macro virus that reaches computers in an infected Word 97 document, with a DOC extension. This document then infects the global template (NORMAL.DOT file) and spreads its infection to all the Word documents that use it or that are generated with it.
Verlor.A does not cause any damage in the infected computer. Like most macro viruses that affect Word documents, Verlor.A prevents users from accessing macros and disables the Visual Basic Editor.
Verlor.A does give any clear indication that it has reached a computer.
However, when it has carried out its infection, it will be impossible for users to access the macro options and use the Visual Basic Editor.
