Omicrom is a polymorphic virus that goes memory resident and infects files with an EXE, COM or SYS extension. Omicrom is encrypted and uses Stealth techniques.
Omicrom causes the loss of data on the hard disk and reverses the content of the screen, if the computer has an EGA or VGA graphics card.It is easy to become infected by Omicrom as it reaches computers through many different means: e-mail messages with infected attachments, computer networks, CD-ROMs, Internet downloads, FTP, floppy disks, etc.
Omicrom is difficult to identify, as it does not display any messages or warnings that indicate that it has infected a computer.
