Caw.1416 is a MS-DOS virus that goes memory resident and waits to infect files with an EXE extension. In addition, Caw.1416 tries to delete the files stored in the hard disk when infection has been carried out.
It is easy to be infected by Caw.1416 as it reaches computers through many means: e-mail messages with infected attachments, computer networks, CD-ROMs, Internet downloads, FTP, floppy disks, etc.
Caw.1416 is difficult to recognize, as it does not display any messages or warnings that indicate that it has infected a computer.
