Ethan.AK is a macro virus that reaches computers in an infected Word document, with a DOC extension. This document then infects Word's global template (NORMAL.DOT file) and spreads its infection to all the Word documents subsequently generated with it.
Ethan.AK does not cause any damage to the infected computer, as its only aim is to spread and modify some properties of the Word documents it infects. >
Ethan.AK is very difficult to recognize, as it does not display any messages or warnings that indicate it has reached the computer.
However, if the key combination CTRL + PAUSE is temporarily disabled in your computer, it can be a clear indication that it is infected by Ethan.AK.
