If exploited successfully, MS09-070 allows hackers to gain remote control of the affected computer with the same privileges as the logged on user. It also could allow an attacking user to impersonate an authenticated user.
MS09-070 is usually exploited by accessing specific data from the browser's cache and reusing it to authenticate against the web application implementing ADFS single sign-on (SSO). It could also be exloited by sending a specially crafted HTTP request to an ADFS-enabled web server. In order to exploit this vulnerability, the attacking user must be authenticated.
