SpyAutorun.A is a worm designed to steal confidential information, like any type of passwords, by logging the keystrokes type by the users. The gathered information isstored in a file and is then sent to a certain email address. Additionally, it carries out several modifications in the Windows Registry which prevents users from carrying out the following actions, among others: - Doing searches in a fast and straight way, as it disables the option Search from the Start menu.
- Viewing the processes that are being run through the Task Manager.
- Modifying the configuration of the features of the folders.
SpyAutorun.A spreads through removable drives, like USB keys, making copies of itself in them. |
