Welcome to the Virus Encyclopedia of Panda Security.
Internet Protocol security (IPsec) is a framework that ensures private and secure communications over Internet Protocol (IP) networks through the use of cryptographic security services.
If exploited successfully, it could cause systems to ignore IPsec policies and transmit network traffic in clear text. This would allow to disclose information that should be encrypted on the network.
In order to exploit this vulnerability, the attacking user has to obtain administrative permissions to the domain controller and then to monitor network traffic.
If you have Windows 2008/Vista installed on your computer, it is recommended to download and apply the security patch for this vulnerability. Click here to access the web page for downloading the patch.
