Kleste.A.drp is a virus whose main aim is to spread and infect as many computers as possible.
In order to do so, it infects PE files (Portable Executable), which can be executed in different 32-bit operating systems (Windows XP/2000/NT/Me/98/95). The virus is activated every time an infected file is run.
Additionaly, it downloads the following malware:
- a Trojan downloader, which downloads more malware.
- a rootkit which hides the processes belonging to Kleste.A.drp in order to make its detection more difficult.
Kleste.A.drp is difficult to recognize, as it does not display any messages or warnings that indicate it has reached the computer.
