VBS/Azmar.A is the source code of a macro virus that infects Word documents, which is called Azmar.A.
Azmar.A is a macro virus that reaches computers in an infected Word document with a DOC extension. From there it infects Word’s global template (NORMAL.DOT file) and spreads to all the Word files generated with this template.
Azmar.A does not carry out any destructive actions on the computers it infects, as its only aims are to spread, delete macros and display a message on screen.
A clear indication that Azmar.A has infected a computer is the following message displayed on screen:
- Title: AntiMacro - By Pacheco
- Message: Possivel virus! (name of the registered user ofWord) pronto para removeo.
