Addon.B is a worm that uses rootkit techniques in order to hide its processes and make its detection more difficult.
Additionally, it connects to certain websites in order to download malware or updates of itself and injects itself into Internet Explorer.
Addon.B spreads via the instant messaging program MSN Messenger and by making copies of itself in the system drives.
Addon.B is easy to recognize once it has affected the computer, as when any Windows Explorer window is opened, the following text is displayed in the title bar of the window:
