PornWorm.A is a worm whose main objective is to spread through P2P programs and via IRC channels in order to affect as many computers as possible.
PornWorm.A uses the following means to spread:
- P2P programs: it creates copies of itself in directories belonging to several P2P programs, so that other users can remotely access these files and download them to their computers.
- mIRC: it sends a compressed copy of itself to the users that are connected to the same channel as the affected user.
PornWorm.A is easy to recognize, as when it is run, the following message is displayed if the day of the system date is even:>>
