Kardphisher.A is a Trojan that obtains confidential information about the affected user, such as the credit card number or the CVV code.
In order to do so, it displays several false screens where such data is requested in order to activate Windows XP operating system.
Kardphisher.A does not spread automatically using its own means. It needs an attacking user's intervention in order to reach the affected computer. The means of transmission used include, among others, floppy disks, CD-ROMs, email messages with attached files, Internet downloads, FTP, IRC channels, peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing networks, etc.
Unless the form is filled in, the computer will not work properly. That's why, we suggest you to enter false information in the screen where such data is requested. This way, the computer will recover its normal working and no valid or real information will be given to the Trojan.
