Tune.B is a worm with no destructive effects and spreads rapidly via e-mail and IRC chat channels.
Once the computer has been infected, Tune.B sends itself out to all the contacts in Outlook’s Address Book. It also sends a copy of itself to all the users connected to the infected computer through the IRC channels.
When Tune.B reaches computers through e-mail it is very easy to identify, as the infected file has the following characteristics:
- Subject: Please Read
- Message: Hey, you really need to check this attached file I sent you...please check it out as soon as possible
Tune.B is difficult to identify, as it does not display any messages or warnings indicating that it has infected a computer.
