Skulls.U is a Trojan that only affects cellular phones that use the operating system Symbian. Initially, it aims Nokia 7610 cellphones, but other devices based in the same software could also be affected. #nombrevrius# pretends to be an installer for a program that supplies new icons, wallpapers, etc. However, when it is installed, it changes all the application icons into a skull and crossbones. From then on, no other functionalities than calling and answering calls will be available. Skulls.U needs the user intervention in order to be run on the cellphone. Before the malicious file is installed, the user receives a security warning. Skulls.U has been distributed via forums specialized in cellular telephony. |
