NetSniffer belongs to the category of Potentially Unwanted Programs, also known as PUPs. It allows computer networks to be monitored. In order to do so, it scans the computers connected to a network and obtains the IP addresses and MACs of such systems.
NetSniffer is difficult to recognize, as it does not display any messages or warnings that indicate it has reached the computer.
