Enabling detection of fraudulent Web pages

Phishing is a technique used by fraudsters that involves tricking users into revealing confidential data (passwords, credit card numbers, etc.) through spoof emails or fraudulent Web pages similar to legitimate ones.

Your Panda product's safe browsing feature blocks access to those pages. If the product detects a suspicious Web page, you will see a pop-up warning asking you if you want to access the page or not. Both the fraudulent pages automatically blocked by the protection, and the pages that you allow or block through the pop-up warnings will be included in a list of blocked and allowed URLs which you can configure at any time.

Follow the steps below to enable the safe browsing feature:

  1. Click Safe Browsing in the main window of the program.

  2. To enable it, set the switch to the ON position. To disable it, set it to OFF..
