When anti-theft is enabled, you can lock a device remotely to prevent it from being used in the event of loss or theft. When a device is locked, it requires the user to enter the code you specified in the solution to open the device. When you enable this feature, the behavior is different for Android or iOS devices.
The lock feature is not available for iOS devices.
Versions lower than 7: The solution prompts you to create a PIN, which is then used to lock the device
Versions 7 to 10: If a PIN was never created, the solution prompts you to create one and uses it to lock the device. If a PIN was previously created by the user, it is used to lock the device, regardless of the PIN you specify in the solution.
Versions 11 and higher: If a PIN was previously created by the user, it is used to lock the device, regardless of the PIN you specify in the solution. If a PIN was never created, the device screen turns off and there is no lock PIN.
To lock a device remotely:
Log in to your Panda Account: https://my.pandasecurity.com
Click Anti-Theft.
In Devices, select the device you want to lock. Click Lock. Enter the PIN to lock the device.
Click Yes, lock.
The next time you need to unlock the device, you must enter the lock PIN you specified, so keep it in a safe place. If you lose or forget the lock PIN, you can reset it from your Panda Account.
