Scheduled searches

From the main window of the product, click the Update Manager section.

The update manager lets you schedule tasks to look for vulnerabilities in the software installed on your computer.

Creating a scheduled search

To schedule a search, click the Add scheduled search button.

Then, enter the following data:

• Name of the search

• Frequency:

• • Daily

  • Weekly

  • Monthly

Use the drop-down menus to specify the days of the week and enter the time at which you want the search to take place.

• Search:

• • All updates: the update manager will search for all updates not installed on the computer.  

  • Critical updates: the update manager will focus on those updates that are critical to the security of the computer.

Click OK. The search will appear in the Scheduled searches section of the Update Manager window.

Editing a scheduled search

Click the name of an existing search to edit it. You can disable it by using the Status button, or delete it with the Delete button.
