Sending suspicious files to the lab

 

This service allows you to send us suspicious files or files that cannot be currently disinfected (new viruses, etc.).

 

It is advisable to ensure you have these files under control, and isolate them from the rest. By doing this, if the file is actually infected, you will prevent it from infecting the rest. This is why the Quarantine exists. For more information about the Quarantine, or about how to quarantine files, refer to the Quarantine section in this Help file.

 

How do I send suspicious files?

  1. Click Reports and quarantine in the main window of the program.

  2. Click Quarantine.

  3. Select the file (or files) in quarantine that you want to send and click Send to .

Note: You can select more than one file at a time by pressing the Ctrl key on your keyboard while clicking the files.

  1. You will see a wizard that will take you through the process. Follow the instructions displayed on screen.
