Panda Security has appointed Joao Matos as the new General Manager for Spain. He will also continue as the Sales Director for Latin America, Portugal and Canada, the post he has held since 2007.

Joao joined the company back in January 1998, taking charge of the sales teams of various international regions. Previously he had started up his own SMB-oriented marketing company (1997) and was a Sales Director at TNT Express Worldwide (1995-1996).

According to Juan Santana,  Panda Security CEO, “Joao has been with us for many years and has contributed to the company's enormous international growth. He has the experience, the knowledge and the passion to take our Spanish subsidiary forward”.

Born in Portugal in 1971, Matos has a Business Science degree (1989-1994) from the Universidad Técnica de Lisboa (Portugal), which included studying in L’Institut d’Administration d’Enterprise de l’Université de Poitiers (France). He speaks four languages (Portuguese, French, English and Spanish), and is married with three children.
