Exchange Servers 2007 and Exchange Server 2010 introduced the concept of roles to organize services and features among different servers. 

The server roles allow administrators to separate the Exchange server functions, providing a large variety of configurations to suit the clients’ needs. 

The configurable roles in Exchange Server 2007 andExchange Server 2010 are: Edge Transport role, Hub Transport role, Mailbox role, Client Access role and Unified Messaging role.

Panda Security for Exchange Servers for Exchange Servers 2007 and Exchange Server 2010 provides the protection below for the following roles:

  • MailBox Role: Antivirus protection.
  • Edge Transport Role: Antivirus and anti-spam protection.
  • Hub Transport Role: Antivirus and anti-spam protection.
