Problems when updating Panda GateDefender Performa

Below are the instructions to identify and solve the incident.

Symptoms

  • One or several Panda GateDefender modules don´t update, neither automatically nor manually.
  • Reduced spam-detection after upgrading to the 3.01.01.0000 version of Performa.


Solution

To solve the problem, you need to make sure the GateDefender unit is allowed to access the following adresses and throught following ports:

  • Upgrades and licenses: secure.pandasoftware.com and ports 80/443
  • Cobion: license.cobion.com and www.cobion.com and port 443
  • Virus/signatures: acs.pandasoftware.com and port 80
  • Mailshell: sn30.mailshell.net and port 80
  • Cloudmark: microupdates.cloudmark.com and port 80
